Palintology: You left the mike on again?

So I was over at politico.com, because that's where I flee when I want to unwind the spin that's spun, and I ran across yet another "hot mike" moment.

Check out these comments on Sarah Palin that NBC caught when the cameras were supposedly off. Pundit Republican consultant Mike Murphy and Wall Street Journal columnist Peggy Noonan are publicly in her corner. Didn't they learn anything from Jesse Jackson? I borrowed the You Tube link from Ben Smith's blog.

Palin's speech was pretty much what I expected, but she has a timber and a delivery that grates on my cheddar. I had to force myself to sit through the whole thing. I'll read her speeches in the future or nibble on sound bites.

This is going to be fun. How can the Democrats attack Affirmative Action and diversity.

When I hear a statement like that coming from a woman candidate with any kind of perceived whine about that excess criticism, or maybe a sharper microscope put on her, I think, 'Man, that doesn't do us any good, women in politics, or women in general, trying to progress this country-- Sarah Palin

(Another version, found at You Tube They seem to be having problems with embeds right now.)

I have to cut in and say that they took Obama to school in their speeches.. It is amazing how much rhetoric Obama can throw to the American Public and how they can jump on in belief that he is going to deliver, when he has absolutely no past history of delivery... I recently visited a website and found it quite humorous, it was called Obama vs. Obama, had him debating with himself illustrating how he changes positions on issues when the time sees fit... I do hope the American Public are smarter than that and see through the fog of bull sh$$%^ that he casts...

Yep, the attack speeches had some great lines.

It's called the fog of war and both candidates have fine lists of their opponent changing positions.

Sign up for emails from FactCheck.org before you drink too much Koolaid.

Points for Palin in taking on Young and Murkowski. She seems to be a lightweight on national issues and her speech didn't change that perception.

I thought it was grossly juvenile.

You listened to speech after speech where they talked about change, and curtailing "big government" and spending, and setting America on the right track, cutting the growing defecit, helping hurting americans, making healthcare and perscriptions affordable, etc. etc.

They've been in charge for the last eight years!? Change from what? From them to them?

I watched with amusement to say the least.
